RVA Blogs and Richmond Readers are Obsessed With Food and Food Critics. Maybe That's Why This city and the South are so Morbidly Obese.

This was an experiment to see how many people would click on this post from RVA Blogs because the title mentioned the words "food" and "Richmond". I have the over/under set at 20. I'm afraid if I threw in the word "baby", my server might explode with all of the new traffic.

Disregard and go about your daily web-surfing if this doesn't pertain to you.

Dead bodies seem to drive traffic also....

Piet: I'll do another experiment that involve the words "dead" and "babies".

The Richmond Mommie blogging community would be up in arms...

Some people would rather read about food and babies than sex and drinking.

Although those people are morons.

You, my friend, have zinged the Richmond Food Blog community( clap clap clap clap) Pray that you never enter the restaurant business. Or it will be all like " The first and last time I will go to Jack's Diner" or " Jacks Diner: Worth the Hype?"

Other words to try:
1. Macaroons
2. Grocery List
3. Millies
4. Beignets
5. "Foodie" ( ugh)

another one: kitchen 64 - you dont even have to talk about it. :)

It's my fault. I posted three things in one day (all food related), and then there's my silly moniker. Of course, that doesn't change the fact that food is a common denominator for most everyone, thus making the culinary posts popular. Also, Richmond is full of good restaurants and it’s cheaper and quicker to let another blogger test the waters.

There is a lot of Food blogging round here, but then again it is not like we are the epicent of art, music, culture or polotics... so maybe people are just blogging about what they have to do round here... eat.

Dude, come on. We all like to eat. As RVA Foodie said, it's a common denominator among us.

While many of us would love to lead a lifestyle of bars and random hook-ups (no zing there...it's true), we can't. You're one of the lucky ones who can.

So let the rest of us talk about our macaroons, hating/loving of Millie's, bringing our babies to high-end restaurants, inept servers and the fact that Richmond has many kick-ass restaurants for its size.

In the meantime, we'll live vicariously through you.

Better yet, you should add a chapter to your book — a smashing story about seedy post-bar closing antics involving more creative food stuffs than chocolate syrup and whipped cream.

I'm just so far disconnected from a life that involves macaroons and babies and high end restaurants, so to me, it can all seem a bit silly.

I understand how so many people can love food and have a passion for it though. I could even picture myself one day being a big time foodie, or at least a big time wine connoisseur.

For now, take my zing with a grain of salt or whatever the hot new seasoning is this month.
